Chinese supercomputer with 11k processors

Tianhe-I At the end of October 2009, China gave the public information about the launch supercomputer Tianhe-I. It is the fastest computer in China, and also third in the world.

The computer was developed in the Technical University of Technology and National Security will be located in Tianjin. It consists of:

  • Intel CPU 6.144
  • AMD GPU 5.120
  • 98 TB RAM

The whole weighs 155 tons and occupies 1000 m 2. Tianhe-I is the world's second computer, which is capable of 1 petaflop perform the operation, the first outside the U.S.. You can see China is not using, and what is it Europe?
