“AWS Re:Invent – How I found myself in the biggest AWS event in the year”
Abstract:
AWS Re:Invent – 60,000+ attendees. 3,000+ technical sessions will spread out across six venues. The biggest AWS event of the year. I’ll tell you a little bit about how I found myself in Las Vegas, attended the sessions and what I learned at the most interesting sessions.

Bio:
Piotr Bak – Cloud Operations Engineer at Pegasystems. Started as a Support Engineer and worked with mobile technology. For 3 years in AWS Cloud. He is focused on automating repeated manual work by using all available tools and technology. Also, IT geek and new technologies enthusiast.

„AWS Step Functions – What I like and dislike about this serverless workflow service”
Abstract:
Have you ever wondered what does AWS Step Functions service do? This presentation will be a perfect place to start. The service has its pros and cons. They will be demonstrated on a real use case of a Database Upgrade Service that will be shown as part of the presentation.

Bio
Grzegorz Lysko is a passionate IT engineer that during his career managed to gather expert knowledge in various technologies (including Linux Administration, Oracle Databases, and Middleware solutions), task automation using different languages and tools. Currently focused on developing/supporting Cloud solutions based on AWS and Oracle Cloud. Enjoys good food almost as much as serverless applications. Currently works at Pegasystems as a Principal Cloud Development Architect where he helps design new microservices and improve general scalability of cloud solutions.
